Delivering a personalised commissioning approach means involving individuals, carers, financial planning and resource distribution linked to Individual Budgets, market management and partnership with providers that focus on outcomes, business and workforce development and the management of risk, regulation and governance.

St Helens council acknowledges that in order to deliver a personalised commissioning approach to service planning, development, procurement and contracting all components of the care sector will be required to embrace cultural, operational and workforce developments in line with self directed supports to ‘put people first’.

This means, following on from jdee’s successful programme of work to support all domiciliary homecare providers across St Helens to raise the knowledge, skills and abilities of their front line workers and ready their organisations for personalised, outcome directed services that have self care support at their heart:

St Helens Council have engaged jdee consultancy to run a programme of work with all Residential and Nursing Homes across the county.

“At jdee we are focused on how we provide Residential and Nursing providers with the key building blocks to ensure their service offers mirror the key principles of putting people first, so they may be both measurable and observable to their customers intended outcomes and those of St Helens Council. We know Residential and Nursing care sit at the heart of communities and have a vital role to play in offering choice, through innovation of new service offers, the extension of information, advice, and access to equipment, respite, day and health services. Therefore the opportunity to work alongside over 30 Residential and Nursing homes is testament to the ‘how to bit’ that jdee can offer the sector”
