Founded in 1911 Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer in the UK.

Macmillan has worked with partners in the National Health Services, Local Government and voluntary sectors to design cancer care services for over 30 years and has extensive experience of developing health and social care services in primary, community and acute settings across the UK.

Working with local planners, commissioners and service providers, Macmillan are dedicated to developing, delivering and improving services to ensure people affected by cancer get high-quality, cost effective care services.

It is this dedication to effective service delivery models that aligns the work of jdee to that of Macmillan.

jdee will run a series of workshops aimed at Macmillian professionals, outlining the workforce development programme that has seen extensive change for staff, customers and commissioners of social care services.

As cancer care and treatment gets ‘closer to home’ the workforce will require programmes that ensure they may personalise their approach to support, motivating, encouraging and supporting those affected with cancer to learn more about their illness, to consider and structure self care of their conditions and look to the future.

With improved outcomes for social care customers, the programmes of work offered by jdee offer exciting developments for the Macmillan workforce of the future.
